Ashurst’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is driven by their approach to attract the best talent. The firm currently focus on and support the LGBTI community, disability equality, gender diversity and multiculturalism.

Ashurst have a global Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group who advise the board on their diversity strategy. The Group is chaired by the Managing Partner and includes partner members from various practice areas, which ensures the best representation. More than 50% of the lawyers recruited to train are women but Ashurst recognise than only 24% of their Partners are female and so seek to improve their gender balance of promotions to partnership.

By 2022, the firm have ambitious aims to achieve a 33% proportion of female partners globally, 30% of management and leadership roles to be held by women (currently 23%) and 50% of senior business services roles to be held by women (currently 33%).
